Are my photos stored or shared?

No. Facial landmark detection runs locally on your device. Images are encrypted in transit via TLS and are never permanently stored on any server. AI providers are contractually prohibited from retaining your data. When you close the page, local data is discarded.

What measurements does LOOKISM provide?

LOOKISM ("we," "us," or "our") operates the LOOKISM facial analysis platform (the "Service"). 2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, optionally, your name. This information is used solely for account authentication, communication, and service delivery.

2.2 Facial Image Processing

Initial facial landmark detection runs locally on your device using client-side technologies (WebAssembly, MediaPipe). To deliver comprehensive analysis, measurement data and/or facial images may be transmitted securely to our Venus AI server-side intelligence for corroboration and enhanced report generation. All image transmissions are encrypted via TLS 1.2+ in transit. Images are processed transiently and never permanently stored on our servers.

2.3 Venus-Gen Simulation Data

When you use the Venus-Gen transformation simulator, your facial image is securely transmitted to our processing pipeline for AI-powered visualization. Images are encrypted in transit via TLS 1.2+, processed in real-time, and immediately discarded after the simulation is generated. Simulated output images are delivered directly to your browser and not retained on any server.

2.4 Measurement Data

Numerical facial measurement data (ratios, angles, distances) generated from the client-side analysis may be transmitted to our servers for AI report generation via Venus AI. This data is purely numerical and contains no visual information. It cannot be used to reconstruct, identify, or re-create any image of your face.

2.5 Usage Data

We collect anonymized usage data including pages visited, features used, session duration, device type, and referral sources to improve the Service and measure marketing effectiveness. This data is not linked to your facial analysis results.

4. Data Storage and Security

Account information and subscription data are stored securely using Supabase, which employs industry-standard encryption at rest and in transit. Row Level Security (RLS) policies ensure that each user can only access their own data.

Facial images transmitted for server-side analysis are encrypted via TLS 1.2+ in transit and processed transiently. They are never permanently stored on our servers. Numerical measurement data used for report generation is not retained after report delivery unless you choose to save your analysis history.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, lease, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

With service providers necessary to operate the platform (e.g., hosting, payment processing)
When required by law, regulation, or legal process
To protect the rights, safety, or property of LOOKISM, our users, or the public

6. AI Processing & Third-Party Providers

Venus AI utilizes a proprietary multi-model system that may involve third-party AI infrastructure for processing. All third-party AI providers used by LOOKISM are contractually prohibited from retaining, training on, or redistributing any user data, including facial images and measurement data.

Data sent to AI providers is encrypted in transit, processed in real-time, and not stored beyond the immediate processing session. We regularly audit our AI providers to ensure compliance with our data handling requirements.

7. Biometric Data

Facial analysis performed by LOOKISM produces numerical measurements (ratios, angles, distances) that do not constitute biometric identifiers under applicable privacy laws (including BIPA, CCPA, and GDPR), as they cannot be used to identify a specific individual. Facial images used for server-side analysis are processed transiently and never stored in a biometric database.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:
